Cindy says ....
"As an experiment you could:
-take a light reading (on 'P' mode)
-adjust it on 'M' then bracket
so if the light reading was 1/125 @ f5.6
-keep the shutter speed the same and change the f number,
-above and below the light reading. For example:
1/250@ f5.6
1/500 @ f5.6
1/1000 @ f5.6
then the other way such as:
1/125 @ f5.6
1/60 @ f5.6
1/30 @ f5.6"
Apertures (different) all at same shutter speed 1/125
Shutter Speeds (different) all at an aperture of f5.6.
1/30th @ f5.6
1/60th @ f5.6
1/125th @ f5.6 -
This is the light reading that the camera gave (on mode 'P' then adjusted on mode 'M').
1/250th @ f5.6
1/5ooth @ f5.6
1/60th @ f5.6
1/125th @ f5.6 -
This is the light reading that the camera gave (on mode 'P' then adjusted on mode 'M').
1/250th @ f5.6
1/5ooth @ f5.6
As the Shutter Speed increases (becomes faster)
- less light gets in the camera
-the image gets darker.
